Rhythm Dance Studio looks at each and every student as a rising star.
As a result, over-the-years, some of these Rhythm stars have risen dramatically through dedication, hard work and relentless drives to succeed;
not to mention some truly awesome talent.

We salute and recognize these incredible stars who have graced Rhythm's floors.
We feel deeply privileged to have played a role in nurturing their innate
love of dance.

Sam Jones elected to perform as a lead dancer for Carnival Cruise Lines immediately following high school. Continuing to travel world over, he performed professionally over 21 shows. Included among Sam’s many accomplishments are: Kids of the Kingdom at Walt Disney World (Orlando); dancing the roles of Peter Pan and Prince Phillips at Tokyo Disneyland (Japan); performing in IMAGINE… A Theatrical Odyssey and Les Folies Bergere (both in Las Vegas); and as Assistant Choreographer, performing in a variety of shows at Myrtle Beach’s renowned Alabama Theatre. Blake McCarn won the Mr. Jr. Dance North Carolina title in1999 and Mr. Teen title of the West Coast Dance Explosion in 2001. Representing Rhythm Dance Studio, Blake has studied with nationally-recognized choreographers, appeared in multiple Showstopper semi-finals, and performed in three American Dance Championships, the National’s top showcase for
dancers watched by millions.

At UNCC, Blake made his dance debut in “On Your Toes”, directed by Delia Neil. In 2007, Blake made it all the way to Vegas for Fox’s So You Think you Can Dance. Currently, Blake is a Rhythm Instructor. (Be sure to read Blake's full bio the Instructor section of our Website.)
